Nicholas Pooran struck 75 off 29 deliveries as Lucknow Super Giants beat Mumbai Indians by 18 runs today.
After being sent in to bat first, LSG put 214 runs on the board with the loss of 6 wickets.
Pooran was the backbone of the innings, and received able support from KL Rahul who made 55.
Mumbai’s reply was carried early on by Rohit Sharma who made 68 opening the batting, with resistance coming down to the end from Naman Dhir who scored 62 not out.
They ran out of deliveries however, ending on 196/6.
It brings the curtain down on a forgettable season for Mumbai, who finish at the bottom of the table with just four wins from 14 matches.
For LSG it was a consolation win, as they were officially eliminated today.
Out in the centre for the toss prior to the start of the match was Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley, who is currently in India.
