Police seize $4.5M worth of cocaine infused in hair products

Police have arrested a “key suspect” as they seized $4.5 million worth of cocaine infused in hair products.

On July 9th, 2024, officers acting on intelligence saw a vehicle linked to a drug trafficking network based in South Trinidad and intercepted it along the highway near Grand Bazaar.

In the vehicle, they found several containers of hair cream which tested positive for cocaine – around 3.25 kilograms of the drug were seized.

The driver, a man from Point Fortin, was arrested.
