Police have rescued 11 foreign women believed to be victims of human trafficking.
An operation was conducted yesterday after officers received intelligence that women were being held against their will and sexually exploited at a house on Fletcher Street, Mt. Lambert.
At the location they found 12 Venezuelan women in an apartment.
Immigration Enforcement Officers determined that 11 of them had entered T&T illegally.
A male Cuban national was also found at the location and detained after it was determined that he was under a Ministerial Deportation Order since 2019.
The rescued women who are between the ages of 18 and 32.
