Police are investigating a suspected homicide at Picton Road in Laventille.

Around 9:30pm yesterday, they responded to a report and found the body of a man with what appeared to gunshot wounds along a track.

The body was identified as 26-year-old Josiah Pierre of Picton Road.

Police also found one projectile and two spent 9mm shell casings at the scene.
