Police hold 2, recover items stolen from P/Town Fire Station

Police have arrested two men and recovered a number of items stolen from the Princes Town Fire Station.

Around 2:50am on October 18th, a fire officer found the compound broken into and a quantity of tools and equipment missing.

Acting on intelligence, a team of officers went to a residence on Charlotte Street, Princes Town, where they observed a burgundy coloured Nissan Almera parked along the roadway.

Three men were also seen at the location, however upon seeing the officers, one of the suspects ran away and managed to evade capture.

At the location with the vehicle, they subsequently found 5 Black Concrete buckets, 7 Stanley Crow bars, 5 Yellow Stanley Bow Saws, 3 Pick Axe, 4 Sledge Hammers, 2 Axe, 6 Bolt Cutters,15 Cutlasses 3 Pitch Forks and 10 Shovels and 2 Hand Saws.

In the vehicle they found 1 cutlass and 1 Track Battery.

The items were positively identified as the property of the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service.

Responses
