Police say they have “changed” the Trainline community in St Augustine, curbing the violent crime which plagued the area.
North-Central Division Acting Senior Superintendent Brian Ramphal says there were homicides in the Warner Street area at the beginning of the year.
However, he notes that police have gone into the community since then with a focus on gang activity.
Acting Senior Superintendent Ramphal says police are also working with other stakeholders to help the area’s residents.
