Police believe the death of a 22-year-old San Fernando woman may be domestic in nature.

Around 2:00am on Sunday, a woman was awakened by a male neighbour who asked her to help take his girlfriend, Shameia Went, to the hospital.

Ms Went was lying on the ground and appeared to be unresponsive.

She was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital where she was pronounced dead about two hours later.
