The Prime Minister has rubbished the Opposition Leader’s claim that an EMBD court case against Dr Roodal Moonilal is a “political witch-hunt” featuring “fabricated” claims.

The Opposition Leader is quoted as making those statements yesterday, in the wake of the lawsuit which alleges that Dr Moonilal acted as a “shadow director” of the EMBD while serving as line minister.

At a media briefing today, Dr Keith Rowley said there were failed attempts to have the case thrown out and insisted it had nothing to do with the PNM or the upcoming elections.

He also spent some time outlining contracts awarded by the EMBD between 2010 and 2015, along with court action taken since his Govenment took charge.

He added that the law will have the final say.
