Divali holds a light to the flood of darkness in the world, according to Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley.

In his Divali message, he notes that there are dark clouds across the world today.

He says the light of Divali reminds of positive qualities and potential for a bright future.

Meanwhile, the Opposition Leader says T&T shines as a beacon for global tolerance, noting that some countries are at war due to religious and ethnic differences.

However, she says T&T is not immune from violence but is urging people to come together, like the lights of thousands of deyas to illuminate the country.
