Gillian Bishop’s selection to redesign the Coat of Arms was done in accordance with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property Act.
This statement came today from Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley, who added that the cost of her services is not yet known, since Government is yet to be billed.
He spoke during today’s sitting of the Lower House.
Dr Rowley said Ms Bishop is a well-regarded designer, who has frequently been commissioned to create original pieces for diplomatic exchanges abroad.
When asked about the completion date for the redesign, Dr Rowley simply said “soon”.
