Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has met with Reta Jo Lewis, President and Chair of the Export-Import Bank of the United States.
During yesterday’s meeting, the bank reportedly indicated that it was seeking to deepen its engagement with T&T and was committed to working with the Government to explore new opportunities for growth and development.
They also identified various sectors for investment to help diversification of the economy, with discussions as well on specific energy infrastructure and national security projects.
Also present at the meeting were Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs Dr Amery Browne and Minister of Energy and Energy Industries and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister Stuart Young.
