A jewel in the crown of the nation – that’s how Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has described late MP Lisa Morris-Julian.

Today is the funeral service for Mrs Morris-Julian and her two children Jesiah and Xianne who died in a fire on December 16th, 2024.

Speaking at the Santa Rosa RC Church in Arima, Dr Rowley said the MP was the best person that he has met who had offered themselves for service.

He added that this was exemplified in her recent screening for the upcoming General Election.

The eulogy was given by Mrs Morris-Julian’s daughter Anya who praised her life as a politician and a mother.

Mrs Morris-Julian was MP for D’Abadie/O’Meara and Minister in the Ministry of Education and a former Mayor of Arima.
