The Prime Minister insists that government was not irresponsible in its decision to replace the head of the Strategic Services Agency.
Over the weekend, retired Major Roger Best was sent on administrative leave and Ambassador Brigadier General Phillips-Spencer was appointed as the new head of the agency.
Speaking at the Conversations with the Prime Minister last night in San Fernando, Dr Keith Rowley said government had to intervene and take unusual decisions.
He added that many persons may not know why, but said government has to act on what it knows and trust that things will work out well.
