PM: Don’t take a laptop if you don’t want it

The Prime Minister says parents are free to refuse a laptop for their child, if the choose to do so.

However, she insists they must inform their school of this.

Mrs. Kamla Persad-Bissessar, at the post-cabinet briefing yesterday, reiterated her plan to purchase laptops for all students entering Form One in September.

But she noted there were persons who are against this policy.

Meanwhile, the PM stated that repairs to 248 schools during the July/August vacation have been approved.
