Following a ransomware attack on the company, the National Insurance Board will be reopening in phases.

In an update, it says limited services will be available today at its centres at Luis Street and Chaguanas, while its head office will also be opened.

There will be a phased reopening of all other locations and the roll-out of NIB’s full suite of services over the coming days.

NIB says people with appointments scheduled during the period of January 2nd to 5th 2024 will be contacted for rescheduling.

The company adds that despite the attack, it continues to meet all commitments including the payment of long-term benefits due at the beginning of January 2024.
