Pennelope Beckles-Robinson could become next Opposition Leader

Pennelope Beckles-Robinson could become the next Opposition Leader.

103.1FM has seen a document with the signature of six PNM MPs who named Mrs Beckles-Robinson as their choice for the post.

They are: Symon de Nobriga, Nyan Gadsby-Dolly, Marvin Gonzales, Colm Imbert, Kareem Marcelle, and Keith Scotland.

Mrs Beckles-Robinson also signed the document as being willing to be appointed as Opposition Leader.

This means her nomination has the support of seven of the party’s 13 MPs.

Speaking to the media on her arrival at Balisier House this afternoon, Mrs Beckles-Robinson herself confirmed the document.

Members of the PNM are currently gathered for the party’s general council meeting.
