Peter “Peetah” Morgan, lead singer of Morgan Heritage, has passed away.

According to a statement posted on the group’s official Instagram, he died today, February 25th 2024.

The band was formed in 1994 by Peter Morgan and his siblings, Una Morgan, Roy “Gramps” Morgan, Nakhamyah “Lukes” Morgan, and Memmalatel “Mr. Mojo” Morgan.

In 2016 they won the Grammy for Best Reggae Album for “Strictly Roots”.

Morgan Heritage also toured internationally and released over 15 albums over the years.
