The race for Tobago’s two seats in the upcoming General Election continues to heat up, with the PDP officially unveiling its candidates.
Several days ago, PDP leader Watson Duke said he would run for Tobago East, and today revealed Curtis Douglas, president of the All Tobago Fisherfolk Association, as the pick for Tobago West.
Yesterday, the TPP led by Farley Augustine announced Joel Sampson as its candidate for Tobago West, with David Thomas to contest Tobago East.
Mickela Panday’s Patriotic Front also intends to contest, with Aretha Clarke named as its candidate for Tobago West.
Meanwhile the PNM has named two candidates: they are incumbent MPs Ayanna Webster Roy for Tobago East and Shamfa Cudjoe-Lewis for Tobago West.
Others expected to announce candidates soon reportedly include the Innovative Democratic Alliance led by Dr Denise Tsoiafatt Angus and the Unity of the People led by Nickocy Phillips.
