Patriotic Energies says it is still interested in the Pointe a Pierre refinery and is awaiting feedback from Trinidad Petroleum Holdings Limited.

This statement comes in response to the Prime Minister’s revelation yesterday that an interested party is expected to visit the refinery’s data room in the coming days for information about the facility.

Patriotic says it submitted its proposal on February 2nd, 2023 and last had communication with TPHL in November 2023 when it was told that TPHL would “get back” to Patriotic.

The company says it has not received a response since and it sent a letter today enquiring as to the status of its proposal.
