Paria says it is continuing to make efforts to process claims for compensation by families of the divers who died in 2022.

Fyzal Kurban, Rishi Nagassar, Yusuf Henry, Kazim Ali Jr and Christopher Boodram were sucked into a Paria pipeline – Boodram was the only one to survive the ordeal.

In a statement this morning, Paria claims its efforts to process compensation are being “frustrated by lack of information from LMCS and the legal representatives of the affected families.”

It notes that it continues to exchange correspondence and is urging LMCS and the affected families to respond in a constructive manner.

Paria says it is committed to finding a way forward as swiftly and as fairly as possible.
