A train has been hijacked by Pakistan militants, who admitted to killing six military personnel and taking more than 150 hostages.
According to officials, the Jaffar Express was intercepted by the militants at a tunnel while travelling from the provincial capital, Quetta in south-west Pakistan.
BBC News reported the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) released a statement where they claimed responsibility for the attack, taking hostages and killing of military personnel adding threats of more deaths if security forces did not leave the area.
Pakistan’s Interior Minister condemned the attack, saying the government would not make any concessions to the insurgents while the Balochistan government imposed emergency measures to deal with the situation.
