Over $1.8 million worth of cannabis has been seized in Cunupia.

Between 3pm and 6pm yesterday, officers conducted surveillance on a supermarket at Cereza Circular.

They then entered the establishment where they met a 37-year-old man and began to search the premises.

In the back of the storeroom, they found a transparent crocus bag containing 33 packets of cannabis weighing a total of 17 kilograms.

The drugs had an estimated street value of $1,865,699.

The man was arrested.
