The Office of Procurement Regulation says the matter of adequate staffing remains a priority for its board.
This statement follows the OPR’s appearance last week before Parliament’s Joint Select Committee at which it was revealed that the Office is not fully equipped.
In a media release, the OPR admits that full proclamation of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property Act, 2015 (as amended), met the OPR without an adequate structure to address the requirements of full operationalization of the legislative framework.
However, it assures that a structured and strategic approach to its staffing issue is underway.
