The Opposition Leader is calling on Government to reintroduce the laptop programme for all form-one students.

She also wants free student transport to schools in all areas and an annual school grant of $1,500 for primary and $2,000 for secondary school students in need of assistance.

This call from Mrs Kamla Persad-Bissessar comes just days before the presentation of the 2023/2024 Budget.

She believes such help is needed, especially as some parents are struggling to pay for uniforms, textbooks, and other supplies.

She insists the Government must act to ensure that no child is left behind.
