Akshay Kumar’s “OMG 2” has earned US$12 million globally since its release on August 11th, in what Forbes is calling a surprise.

According to Forbes, the movie has been vying for audiences along Anil Sharma’s “Gadar 2”, Nelson Dilipkumar’s “Jailer”, and Meher Ramesh’s “Bhola Shankar.”

OMG 2 traces the story of a devotee of Lord Shiva, played by Pankaj Tripathi, and his fight for his son.

The film uses the backdrop of Hindu scriptures and rituals to underline the importance of sex education.

Akshay Kumar, who plays a messenger of Lord Shiva, stars along Tripathi and Yami Gautam in the movie.
