A 34-year-old police constable has been charged with the shooting death of two siblings in the Courts Megastore car park on December 17th.

The officer, who was last attached to the Homicide Bureau of Investigations, was charged on Christmas Day with two counts of murder and a count of shooting with Intent to do Grievous Bodily Harm.

33 year old Simeon Lessey and 35 year old Siniaya Lessey were killed and another man wounded during the incident.

The accused is due before the Port-of-Spain Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

The TTPS says the enquiry was bolstered by officers of the Professional Standards Bureau, the Research Analytical Unit and Legal Officer Ramjag of the HBI Region II.
