The NTA will hold its internal elections on September 5th 2025.

This follows the decision by Gary Griffith to step down as political leader following the 2025 General Elections.

Several members of the NTA’s Governance Team also did the same.

In a statement, interim political leader Normal Dindial said the election is not merely a leadership change, but a chance for members to shape the future of the party and reaffirm their commitment to transformational governance.

He added that the NTA will continue to stay grounded in communities, expand its national footprint with constituency chapters, and invest in youth, innovation, and political education.
