NTA: focus still on independent voters

The National Transformation Alliance says it will “mind its business” and remain focused on the independent voter.

The party today issued a statement on the heels of reports that the UNC was meeting representatives from a number of unions and political parties.

NTA Political Leader Gary Griffith says he found it “interesting” that smaller political parties were being seen as “relevant players” despite being previously labelled as vote splitters and pop-up parties.

He adds that his party will remain dedicated to ensuring the voices of independent voters are heard and their concerns prioritized.

He went on to state, “We respect the right of any party to choose its collaborators, but we firmly believe that these voters—who historically have been pivotal in deciding the outcomes in marginal constituencies, and by extension who forms the Government—deserve a clear, authentic vision and leadership, not temporary overtures designed to secure votes.”
