NP says PDA President chose to “misrepresent the facts”

NP has responded what it calls a misrepresentation of facts via comments by President of the Petroleum Dealers Association, Robin Naraynsingh.

In a media release, NP says it has published its 2020 consolidate financial statements, contrary to claims, and has completed statements for 2021 which will be submitted to the Finance Ministry.

Furthermore, the company tackled the assertion that the NP’s Chairman said the company is not making money.

It said that while it operates about 65 uneconomical service stations in rural communities, it continues to honour its social responsibility and added that its profits are also derived from sales of aviation and marine fuels and lubricants.

Additionally, NP said it is committed to engaging with all its stakeholders and met with dealers last month.
