Businessman Inshan Ishmael is refusing to back down, despite a Notice of Violation for a guard booth being built in Bamboo #2.
In a Facebook Live a short while ago, Mr Ishmael showed the Notice from the Tunapuna Piarco Regional Corporation, which took issue with the location of the booth, as well as its design.
It also ordered that the structure be pulled down, with the cost of the demolition exercise to be borne by the owner.
Mr Ishmael said the booth belonged to the community, was being built to help protect residents and business owners.
He also alleged that other structures and activities in the area are being allowed, while their booth is being targeted.
He has since challenged the Corporation to demolish the structure.
Previously, Mr Ishmael said residents agreed on the measure several months ago following extortion attempts, robberies and other crimes.
103.1FM News spoke this afternoon with Corporation Chairman Josiah Austin, who denied any agenda.
He says the decision regarding the booth was taken by the Council as a whole, with similar action taken with regard to other projects that did not meet requirements.
Mr Austin also insisted the Corporation remains ready and willing to meet with residents to discuss and help guide the project.
