A suspect has been denied bail after appearing in court charged with the kidnapping of businessman Shashi Anand Rampersad.

Kareem Rodriguez was remanded into custody yesterday after appearing in the High Court.

Rampersad was abducted in Lendore Village, Enterprise on November 21st, 2024.

Yesterday, human remains were found in a shallow grave in Upper Dibe, Long Circular in an area known as The Creek.

According to reports, police suspect it may belong to Rampersad.

However, they have not confirmed the identity and will be awaiting the results of DNA testing.
