Nine persons were arrested over the weekend as police seized marijuana, firearms, ammunition and a stolen car.

On Saturday, three persons were arrested in Indian Walk, Moruga for firearm possession, and a 59-year-old man of La Luna and two men from Indian Walk were charged for possession of eleven cannabis plants.

In Tableland, a 26-year-old man and 20-year-old woman of Chaguanas were arrested as police found a Toyota Aqua reported stolen from Point Fortin.

And in St James, a 42-year-old man was arrested as police found a loaded AR-15 firearm in his black Toyota Altis.
