A tropical depression could form in the Atlantic early next week.
The National Hurricane Centre continues to monitor a small area of low pressure which is producing an area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms over the central tropical Atlantic.
It says although there is dry air located to the north of the system, favorable upper-level winds are expected to allow for gradual development during the next several days.
At this time, it continues to move westward.
The formation chance through 48 hours is 40 percent, while the formation chance through seven days is 60 percent.
