The chance of development for a weather system approaching the Caribbean has been raised by the National Hurricane Centre.

The oncoming tropical wave is expected to turn into a tropical depression or tropical storm this weekend.

The NHC has raised the levels of development to 60% through 48 hours and 80% through seven days.

T&T’s Met Service has said that the system is likely to bring associated weather by early Monday.
