Work is ongoing at the Health Ministry’s Administrative Building after a blown plumbing connection forced the closure of the building today.

According to NH International Caribbean Limited, around 6:45am a damaged water line in the female bathroom on the third floor started flooding the building at Queen’s Park East, Port of Spain.

It adds that the line has since been repaired and work will take place today and during tomorrow’s public holiday to have the building fully functional by Thursday morning.

Today’s incident affected the northern side of the building’s third, second, first and ground floors.

NH says while the quantity of water may look excessive, this is to be expected due to the size of the line that blew.
