A new political party called HOPE is being touted as a new political force founded on good governance, equal opportunity, performance, and empowerment for all.

It is led by Timothy Hamel-Smith, a former COP member and Senate President during the People’s Partnership time in office.

Other top-ranking members include former Finance Minister under Patrick Manning’s PNM leadership Karen Nunez-Tesheira, former Port of Spain Mayor under the PNM Louis Lee Sing and Steve Alvarez, a former leader of the Democratic Party of T&T.

The official launch of the party is December 9th where they will share their party’s vision, policies, and plans.
