General Secretary of the National Trade Union Centre, Michael Annisette has expressed sadness over the replacement of Mrs Deborah Thomas-Felix as Industrial Court President.

This morning, the Office of President Christine Kangaloo confirmed the appointment of Mrs Heather Seale as the new President of the Court.

Speaking to 103.1FM News, Mr Annisette reiterated his disapproval of the alleged manner in which the appointment of the court’s former President came to an end.

Mr Annisette is also disappointed by a lack of consultation for one of the practitioners of the Industrial Court – the labour movement.

Yesterday, unions delivered a letter to President Christine Kangaloo expressing their views on the matter.
