New assumption date for new WASA Executive

WASA’s new Executive, led by CEO designate Keithroy Halliday, will assume office one month later than previously announced.

The transition was due to take place on November 1st 2024, however this has now been changed to December 1st 2024.

WASA says the deferment comes at Mr Halliday’s request, to allow him to address certain crucial commitments in his current position as General Manager of the Barbados Water Authority.

It says, “We respect Mr. Halliday’s request, fully understanding the importance of a smooth transition and the responsibilities that come with leadership in our industry.”

As such, Acting CEO Kelvin Romain and the current executive team will continue their roles until November 30th 2024.

WASA says it will also soon announce the 23 successful candidates to fill the Assistant Director positions.

It says, “this will complete the reshaping of the top 2 tiers of the Leadership Team, and collectively, they will continue to advance and drive the transformation of the Authority.”
