The National Council of Indian Culture (NCIC) is considering if fireworks will be sold during the Divali Nagar this year.

NCIC President Deoroop Teemal confirmed to 103.1FM News that a final decision is yet to be made.

It comes as the Fireworks Action Coalition of T&T issued a statement suggesting that the Nagar refrain from selling fireworks between November 3rd to 11th.

The coalition also praised the NCIC for its stance last year to not have its usual fireworks display.
