Tilo Kruse’s journey from Toco to Icacos saw him spend a night at the Narayan Maduvan Mandir in Sangre Grande.

The German backpacker has been walking the route across T&T without money in a bid to highlight the country’s hospitality.

Unfortunately, only a few days in, he was attacked by two men on the road.

His latest video however spoke of the hospitality of folks along the route, many of whom provided food and refreshments.

He also spoke of the Mandir, where he spent the night, describing it as “easily the most welcoming place so far”.

The Mandir posted about Mr Kruse’s stop, writing “Tilo! It was an absolute honor to host you here at the Narayan Maduvan Mandir we wish you baghwan’s blessings on your journey. We’re proud to hear you enjoyed your experience with us“
