Naparima MP Rodney Charles is calling on commercial banks to reveal the criteria used to distribute foreign exchange.

In a statement, the MP said he has written to Republic Bank, FCB, Scotiabank and RBC, to request specific information on their policies concerning the distribution of forex to customers.

He said the matter was raised the matter during the budget debate in Parliament.

Mr Charles believes there is an unfair distribution, with some people receiving US$200, while other customers seem to receive more.

The Naparima MP also believes there is too much secrecy and silence on the issue.
