A 32-year-old man has been murdered in Arima.

Around 5:45pm yesterday, officers responded to a report of a wounding at Punette Avenue, Pinto Road.

Responding officers found Schenaso Calderon lying in the yard, still showing signs of life.

He was taken to the Arima Health Facility but succumbed to his injuries soon after.

A male suspect was held, gave a statement under caution, received medical attention, and remains in custody at the Malabar Police Post.
