Municipal Police acted today to remove vendors from parts of San Fernando.
According to a report by Guardian Media, officers approached the vendors around 6:30 this morning at Mon Chagrin Street and Ras Shorty I Street.
Vending on High Street was stopped two weeks ago, however persons were reportedly allowed to sell on the side streets off High Street until designated vending zones were ready.
The vendors set up today despite being informed that they would no longer be allowed to ply their trade at the locations.
Demonstrations have been held in recent days to protest the move by the city.
