A water well drilling operation is underway aimed at improving the supply to Arouca, Five Rivers and environs.

This is according to a Facebook post by Lopinot/Bon Air West MP and Public Utilities Minister Marvin Gonzales.

According to the MP, a rig will remain at the well site to exploit the availability of water in the Arouca aquifer.

This, he says, will result in a more reliable to approximately 10,000 residents in Arouca, Five Rivers, Trincity and Maloney.
