The Works Minister is being urged to address the road collapse along Bonne Aventure Main Road, in the vicinity of Ragoobar Lands.

Tabaquite MP Anita Haynes Alleyne says this has been a major issue for more than two years, with the issue starting off as a depression.

She also claims that despite continuously raising the issue, only temporary work was done, leaving the road narrower.

The MP says while the Works Ministry this year identified the road as one to be dealt with this fiscal year, delays in execution have resulted in the matter becoming worse.

She adds that with the Wet Season underway, there is the additional concern that the waterway under the road collapse could pose further challenges to the execution of the road rehabilitation work.

According to MP Haynes-Alleyne, the work is urgent since the Bonne Aventure Main Road is the main artery leading in and out of Gasparillo.
