Some of the areas in the Tunapuna/Piarco region which were flooded yesterday were visited by the area’s MP and Corporation Chairman.

MP Khadijah Ameen said she was joined by Chairman Josiah Austin and members of the corporation’s Disaster Management Unit as they went to a number of communities.

Heavy rains yesterday resulted in flooding in parts of Tunapuna/Piarco region, including along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway.

MP Ameen told 103.1FM News that several homes were affected in parts of Trincity and Macoya.
