Couva North MP Ravi Ratiram says he is deeply dissatisfied with the Government’s handling of the Perseverance Bridge project.
The bridge was reopened just before the start of the new academic year, however only light vehicles are being allowed while ancillary works continue.
Mr Ratiram believes the project suffers from significant flaws that undermine its safety and functionality.
He adds that it is a source of frustration for users, with concerns regarding structural support, as well as design and construction deficiencies.
He is calling on the Works Ministry to take immediate action to rectify the issues with the Bridge.
