Residents of St John’s Branch Trace, Fyzabad are distressed according to their MP who says reconstruction of a fallen bridge is yet to take place.

The bridge collapsed in July and, according to Dr Lackram Bodoe, up till yesterday there was only partial clearance of the debris and residents remained marooned.

In a Facebook post, he said residents have abandoned their homes and are additionally worried as schools reopen on September 2nd.

Dr Bodoe noted that they have also been spending money to rent vehicles as 11 vehicles remain trapped across the river.
