Tabaquite MP Anita Haynes-Alleyne is welcoming the re-opening of the Brasso Police Station, saying it will help curb crime in the area.
She also anticipates working with the TTPS to restore peace in the community, saying it was unfortunate that it took the murder of Matthew Chancellor to restore the station.
The MP said one solution to the current crime crisis was more community work in rural communities which can filter into a national plan for security.
She added that will continue be an consistent advocate for these issues in rural communities.
