The motion to extend the State of Emergency by three months has been approved in the House of Representatives.
Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley wrapped up debate last night by responding to the Opposition Leader’s accusation that there is no plan to deal with crime once the SoE ends.
Dr Rowley went on to say that the three-month extension is necessary and expressed hope for improvement.
House Speaker Bridgid Annisette-George then put the motion up for voting by the MPs.
